WTA French Open - IGA SWIATEK Advised at 25/1

WTA FRENCH OPEN

We are now sitting in a decent position on the pre match tournament bets with IGA SWIATEK ADVISED AT 25-1 to win quarter one just one match away from completing a victory and she is also the new outright favourite for the title.

The two selections I advised that are still in the competition are now second and third favourites in the outright market.

SWIATEK V TREVISAN - BACK TREVISIAN TO WIN @ 4-1

Please be aware I am backing Trevisian to win this match purely due to the fact of having backed Swiatek to win the quarter so this hedging out and ensuring a profit no matter what. Trevisisian does not have a bad record on clay and has defeated Swiatek back in 2017 on clay in three sets so she is not without hope.

COLLINS V JABEUR - BACK COLLINS @ 11-10

Jabeur 101-48 record on clay courts compared to Collins 51-25, both have recorded excellent wins in the last round here with Jabeur beating Sabalenka in three sets and Collins defeating Muguruza in three sets.

KENIN -1.5 GAMES TO BEAT FERRO @ EVENS

Kenin won their only meeting and that was on the green clay at Charleston in 2017 where she won in straight sets, Ferro has been in superb form winning the tournament in Palermo before playing here but 3 of her last 5 matches have gone to three sets and I have a feeling it may soon catch up with her. Kenin started slowly in this tournament but has been improving the more she has played and dropped just two games in her last match here.

WTA INDIAN WELLS (125K): Begu V Tsurenko Over 21.5 Games @ 2.0 PINNACLE

WTA INDIAN WELLS (125K)

Begu V Tsurenko Over 21.5 Games @ 2.0 PINNACLE

Tsurenko leads the head to head 3-2 they met a month ago and the match went to three sets as they are so closely matched. Three of their five meetings have gone to three sets and I expect this one to follow the pattern of their most recent match and go three sets but it is too close to call a winner in this one.

Zvonareva V Doi Over 21.5 Games @ 2.10 PINNACLE

Zvonareva has come through to the semi-final stage with every match going to three sets and Doi has been taken to three sets in two of her three matches so far, neither player has the power to be able to hit through the other so I am expecting a bit of a slog here with two tight sets or three and the points spread to be covered.

WTA LYON

Kenin V Van Uytvanck Over 22.5 Games @ 2.210 PINNACLE

Van Uytvanck leads the head to head 2-1, they have met on a. A variety of surfaces and two of the matches have gone to three sets the only time they didn’t was on clay. Kenin is the better player and has been outstanding this season with her Australian Open victory and the way she is still playing well after that victory shows huge mental strength. Van Uytvanck is a very good player on indoor courts as shown by her 118-47 win-loss record and the fact it is indoor evens this match up and I am expecting three sets.

Australian Open 2020: Thursday (30th January)

Halep V Muguruza Over 22.5 Games @ 2.10 Unibet

Very evenly matched here and I expect this to go three sets with Muguruza’s clean ball striking a real weapon but Halep’s defence will keep this very tight.

Barty V Kenin Over 22.5 Games @ 2.38 Betway

Met 4 times last season and this spread was covered twice, I expect both players to be nervous as this is possibly Kenin’s biggest match of her career so far while Barty has the opportunity of reaching the grand slam final in her home country and I except a few nerves from both players with Barty coming through in three.

WTA BRISBANE: RISKE V MUCHOVA Over 22.5 Games @ 2.27 MarathonBet

WTA BRISBANE

RISKE V MUCHOVA Over 22.5 Games @ 2.27 MarathonBet

Ranked 18 and 21 respectively, they met twice last season and both matches went three sets and had 30 games and 28 games, Muchova is the more likely winner here having played a bit of competitive tennis in the Czech league in the week before Xmas and she has a better record on hard courts but I expect Riske to keep it close and take it to three sets.

SAKKARI V OSAKA - Over 21.5 Games @ 2.13 MarathonBet

Ranked 23 and 3 respectively, three meetings between the pair and two of thWTA BRISose meetings have gone to three sets, total games were 26, 22 and 26 with Osaka leading the head to head 2-1

KENIN V SEVASTOVA - Over 21.5 Games @ 2.06 MarathonBet

Ranked 14 and 27 respectively, met once last year and match went to three sets with a total game total of 28 with Kenin coming through. Kenin has the more power and better serve but Sevastova has greater variation and again this should be tight with Kenin coming through in three.

PAVLYUCHENKOVA V KVITOVA - Over 21.5 Games @ 2.03 MarathonBet

Ranked 31 and 7 respectively Kvitova leads the head to head 7-4 and out of those games only once has this points spread not been covered and that was on clay. The danger is Kvitova can blow anyone off the court if she is on form and she does like this part of the world so I expect her to play well but I am happy to go with the head to head record.

Pro Tennis Trader: US Open 2019

MARTIC (2.20) V SEVASTOVA (1.77)

Head to head is tied at 1-1 with both meetings on clay, Both have come through their matches with a minor scare but it is Martin who I feel is playing the more consistent tennis and think she comes through this match but I need Sevastova to be a shorter price before laying.

LAY SEVASTOVA @ 1.40 EXIT

2.20 KENIN (2.60) V KEYS (1.60)

Head to head is tied at 1-1, both players been in excellent form with Kenin reaching the QF at Cincinnati before winning her matches here in straight sets, Keys won Cincinati and has also won her matches here with ease. This should be a great match as the head to head shows Kenin winning once on clay earlier this season and Keys winning most recently on hard court in two very tight sets. I would have to say the value s on laying Keys at the start as 1.60 is too short a price in the match up but calling a winner will be tough.

LAY KEYS @ 1.60 EXIT

2.20 SVITOLINA (1.60) V YASTREMSKA (2.60)

Svitolina 19-9 and Yastremska 16-8 record on hard courts so far this season shows they are both very much at home. Gauff’s presence has helped Yastremska avoid the media attention as everyone is focusing on the young American but Yastremska looks like the real deal to me with her super aggressive return game she will cause Svitolina problems today.

LAY SVITOLINA @ 1.60 EXIT 2.40

WTA MALLORCA

WTA MALLORCA

CORNET (2.46) V ANISIMOVA (1.65)

Cornet struggles on grass as her career record of 16-27 shows, Anismova had a great run to reach the SF at the French Open but she can still be unpredictable as she is still a young player, I am looking to back Anismova her but not at her current price I am looking for 2.0+ before backing to get the win here.

KERBER (1.84) V SHARAPOVA (2.16)

Head to head is tied 4-4, Kerber has looked shaky this season so far and appears to be struggling to hit the heights of previous seasons. Sharapova played her first match back for months and as expected she looked rusty in the first set but soon found her range and ended up a comfortable winner, Her serve depending on if it is working well can either be a great weapon on these courts or a huge hinderance but the prices seem a little off to me considering Kerber’s form and I am happy to lay Kerber at her current price and look to relay if she wins the first set at 1.25 or exit at 2.70+

KENIN (2.12) V MERTENS (1.82)

Both players are in decent form but I just favour Kenin who is playing with such confidence and grass will prove no problems for her s her game suits its quite well. Her record currently reads 9-4 compared to Mertens 19-15. Mertens has not really kicked onto to the next level and my fear for her is she has reached her level. I will lay Mertens at her current price and look to exit at 2.60+ if Mertens starts well and hits 1.20 then relay and work on reducing liability.

WTA NEW HAVEN: GASPARYAN TO BEAT HSIEH @ 2.30

WTA NEW HAVEN

GASPARYAN TO BEAT HSIEH @ 2.30

Gasparyan has been decimated by injuries but when she is fit and well then she is a very talented player as she showed earlier this season by reaching the latter part of tournaments on the ITF tour, Hsieh was on the verge of just competing as a doubles specialist a couple of years ago but has since transformed herself with some superb results but she still does not convince me and I think a fit Gasparyan can overpower Hsieh here with her flat hitting

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

GASPRAYAN 66.8% 36.5% 17-5(58-32)

HSIEH 60.6% 40.4% 26-17(277-163)

PLISKOVA TO BEAT SASNOVICH @ 2.23
Head to head is tied at 1-1 both matches featured a tie break. Kristyna Pliskova has never quite kicked on like her sister despite having the better results as junior player and being the player tipped to make it to the top, her serve is excellent but the rest of her game needs improving. Sasnovich has been playing well and has good variation to her game but on this occasion I feel Pliskova’s serve will be the dominating aspect of this match.

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

PLISKOVA 72.8% 30.9%

SASOVICH 63.5% 38.4%

LAPKO TO BEAT DIYAS @ 2.07
Lapko has more power than Diyas who is solid if unspectacular player, If Lapko is on form then she will be able to hit through and overpower Diyas in this matchup

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

LAPKO 64.8% 38.9% 9-10(38-21)

DIYAS 63.7% 39.5% 24-11(149-103)

BLINKOVA TO BEAT BOGDAN @ 2.60
Almost identical stats and win-loss records on hard courts so similar to the Kenin match the value here is on Blinkova as it should be around 2.10 price for her to win this

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

BLINKOVA 67.1% 45.7% 19-11(33-15)

BOGDAN 67.9% 40.5% 24-12(72-41)
PEREZ TO BEAT GIORGI @ 6.92
Going to take a punt on the big outsider here as Giorgi is a player quite capable of losing to anyone on any day as she is that unpredictable, Perez has a decent serve and if Giorgi has an off day when she starts spraying the ball all over the place then 6.92 will look a huge price

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

PEREZ 66.8% 31.9% 13-14(37-39)

GIORGI 64.9% 37.1% 11-8(115-91)

ZIDANSEK TO BEAT FLIPKENS @ 2.63
Zidansek has been playing excellent tennis recently and surging up the rankings as a result, she has had some superb results on the clay but looking at her record on hard courts is not too shabby either with a 33-10 career record. Flipkens may just struggle to hold serve in this match up as Zidansek does have a vastly superior return game

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

ZIDANSEK  67.5% 47.2% 15-5(33-10)

FLIPKENS 65.7% 35.6% 15-9(143-107)

KENIN TO BEAT PETERSON @ 2.10
Both been in decent form of late and they have near identical records on. Hard courts as well as very similar serve and return stats and both had excellent victories here yesterday, the match is even so I am going to take the 2.10 as quite simply it should not be available.

HOLD SERVE BREAK SERVE

KENIN 69.1% 36.8% 30-17(70-39)

PETERSON 67.2% 40.5% 30-16(87-41)
