WTA BASTAD & WTA CONTREXVILLE

WTA BASTAD

CHIRICO 3.20 V LIU 1.37

Chirico was a player with huge potential a few years back before injury, illness took an effect but she has shown in flashes that she still retains the ability and against a soli but limited payer in Liu if Chirico hits form then she will prove too strong she has a 16-12 win loss record this season and a career record of 138 -83 on her favoured surface and while the days of her breakout 2016 season of 55-25 are probably behind her it des show that she has the ability so far compared to Liu who has a 4-6 record this season ad has struggled despite her career 87-41 record. LAY LIU

WTA CONTREXVILLE

PARRY 1.62 V FERRO 2.32

Ferro leads the head to head 2-0 winning in straight sets both times on clay and has a cracking 28-9 win loss on the dirt this season winning the title in Biarritz a couple of weeks ago LAY PARRY

ONS JABEUR 1.26 V MAGDALENA FRECH 4.80

ONS JABEUR 1.26 V MAGDALENA FRECH 4.80

Frech has been in excellent form so far this season reaching the quarter finals at both Nottingham and Birmingham showing a 6-3 win loss record on grass this season and her career record is 36-21. Jabeur has a good record at Wimbledon reaching the final last season but his season has struggled on grass losing first round in Berlin and second round in Eastbourne and I expect her to trade a lot higher than her current price LAY JABEUR.

WTA WIMBLEDON TENNIS TRADES - FIRST ROUND MATCHES (2nd July)

WTA WIMBLEDON

Bencic 1.46 V Swan 3.10

Bencic has not played since the French Open and I expect her to start slowly although her win loss record on grass is an impressive 60-28 but against Swan who reached the final at Surbiton although her record is not great on grass I expect Bencic to trade higher than her current price LAY BENCIC.

Burrage 3.0 V Mcnally 1.48

Head to head is 1-1 but interestingly Burrage won their one meeting on grass at Wimbledon juniors and has had a good season on the grass so far reaching the final at Nottingham before losing to Gauff in the second round at Eastbourne, Mcnally has stuggled this season on grass only winning two matches and while she should win she is likely to trade higher LAY MCNALLY.

Azarenka 1.28 V Yuan 4.50

Yuan reached the QF at Gaiba on grass before coming through qualies here and beating the highly regarded Brenda Fruhvirtova in the three sets, Azarenka has so far this season struggled on grass losing in the second round at Hertogenbosch and then first round at Berlin in straight sets LAY AZARENKA.

Gauff 1.29 V Kenin 4.5

Head to head is 1-1, Kenin has a 24-12 win loss on grass compared to Gauff 24-8 both players are fairly happy on the surface and in what should be a fairly close contest then Gauff is likely to trade at least 1.50 LAY GAUFF.

Bouzkova 1.30 V Waltert 4.2 Bouzkova has a 16-17 win loss record on grass and struggles on this surface, Waltert has a 11-7 win loss record and is far more comfortable on the surface LAY BUZKOVA.

Potapova 1.40 V Naef 3.20

Potapova is a good player on grass but can be a little emotional and erratic during her matches, Naef is is in good form having reached the Quarters at Hertogenbosch and can keep this tight here LAY POTAPOVA.

WTA HERTOGENBOSCH (13th June)

WTA HERTOGENBOSCH

Sonmez 6.2 V Andreescu 1.20

Sonmez has an excellent 38-14 win loss record this season so far and 5-1 on grass having come through qualifying here as well as reaching the second round at Surbiton. Andreescu suffered a poor French Open losing in the third round winning just two matches against Tsurenko, she does have a decent 21-13 record on grass but I am expecting a sow start from her against an inform opponent

LAY ANDREESCU

WTA NOTTINGHAM

Linette 1.36 V Gadecki 3.70

Linette can struggle on the grass with a 26-31 win loss record and her record recently has been poor not getting past the third round in any of her clay tournaments. Gadecki has been making progress this season with a 32-16 win loss record and has won her two qualifying matches here

LAY LINETTE

WTA HERTOGENBOSCH (12th June)

WTA HERTOGENBOSCH

KUDERMETOVA 1.26 V RISKE 4.70

Both players have a positive record on grass but even more so Riske who would put it down as her favourite surface as shown by her 85-40 win loss record compared to Kudermetova 18-13, Riske leads the head to head 2-1 winning both the most recent meetings both on grass. Kudermetova has more power and certainly the better serve but Riske is most certainly the better player on grass and I expect quite a close contest here as Riske has already played one match on this surface losing a close contest to Golubic although my confidence is tempered slightly by Riske losing her last 7 matches but am hoping the return to her favourite surface will keep this close

WTA FRENCH OPEN (30th May)

WTA FRENCH OPEN

RUS 1.60 V GRABHER 2.66

Both players happy on clay, Rus has been playing great tennis lately and does lead the head to head 3-0 but I just suspect that Grabher might push her on the slow courts here.

LAY RUS

BUREL 2.90 V SORRIBES TORMO 1.50

Both players are very happy on clay with Burel reaching the SF at Strasbourg and Tormo dropping down to the ITF Circuit and reaching the final at Madrid in their last tournaments so both players come here in decent form.

WTA Rome Open (11th May)

WTA ROME

LINETTE 1.88 V NOSKOVA 2.10

Linette has struggled on clay sofar this season with a 2-4 win loss record, Noskova is very much at home on clay with a career record of 41-22 Lay Linette 1.65.

POTAPOVA 1.64 V COCCIARETTO 2.52

Cocciaretto has a 7-1 win loss record on clay so far this season winning Potosi on the ITF circuit and also playing well in Mdrid losing in three sets to Badosa and coming through in straight sets in her first match here against Davis losing just 3 games. Potapova reached the SF at Stuttgart but is very unreliable and I am happy to lay at a price I feel is too short against an in form and confident player on clay Lay Potapova 1.60.

KALININA 1.58 V BLINKOVA2.66

Blinkova leads the head to head 5-1 including 2-0 on clay, both players are happy on clay but Kalinina has struggled so far this season losing both her matches on the dirt, Blinkova hs a 4-4 record on clay and I suspect this match will go three sets like the other two meetings on clay and picking a winner is difficult but I expect Kalinina to trade higher so Lay Kalinina 1.55.

WTA MADRID OPEN 2023 (2nd April)

WTA MADRID

SHERIF 11.0 V SABALENKA 1.09

Sherif has won a total of 14 titles during her career with 11 of them coming on clay albeit most on the ITF circuit, Sabelnka meanwhile has 18 titles with jut one on clay this tournament backin 2021. Sherif has a 7-2 win loss record on clay this season and a career record of 151-50 with the last 2 seasons showing an impressive 33-8 record and has been impressive here with wins over Mertens, Garcia and Kalinia along with Girogi retiring at 1-1. Sabelnka has a 6-1 win loss record on clay this season and lost in Stuttgart in the final but her career record of 60-41 is less impressive along with a 15-6 record over the last 2 seasons. The slower surface negates some of her power and the longer rallies can show up her consistency weakness. Although she is likely to come through her price at sub 1.10 to start is nothing short of crazy LAY SABALENKA and look to green up in play.

SAKKARI 1.80 V BEGU 2.20

Two of their three meetings have gone 3 sets and I expect similar today with Begu showing a decent level of form recently and if she can continue to play to that levl then she can push a slightly erractic Sakkari here although it is tough to call a winner the overs looks the best play OVER 22.5 GAMES EVENS

Wednesday, 19 April 2023

WTA STUTTGART OPEN 2023 (20th April)

WTA STUTTGART

GAUFF 1.65 V POTAPOVA 2.50

Head to head is tied 1-1 although Gauff did also win when Potapova retired, both matches went three sets . Gauff has a 47-17 win loss record, Potapova has a 65-32 win loss record on clay- I am expecting this to follow the previous matches by going three sets so the options are either to lay GAUFF at current price or what I am doing is laying the first set winner here.

Thursday, 6 April 2023

WTA Charleston Open 2023 (6th April)

WTA CHARLESTON

KASATKINA 1.52 V PERA 2.90

Pera is very much at home on clay as shown by her win loss over the last 2 seasons which reads 21-6 including winning Hamburg and Budapest titles last seaso. Kasatkina when she burst onto the scene was very much a clay court specialist but has sincemoved more onto hard courts and and is likely to be vulnerable here to an opponent on her favourite surface LAY KASATKINA

WTA BOGOTA

STEARNS 1.85 V AVANEYSAN 2.20

Stearns has a 26-20 win loss record on clay and although In good form it has mainly been on hard courts and seems to have priced up accordingly. Her opponent is a clay court specialist who has played around 70% of her completed matches on clay with a career record of 106-53 and was very impressive in defeating Errani dropping just one game all match LAY STEARNS

Wednesday, 5 April 2023

WTA Charleston Open 2023

WTA CHARLESTON

SHNAIDER 3.85 V KUDERMETOVA 1.34

Shnaider is very much at home on clay as shown by her 64-19 win loss record and she has somewhat struggled a bit on the hardcourts but will be looking for to the clay swing and picking up some good results and I suspect upsetting a few favoured players like todays match up. Kudermetova has had a decent season reaching the SF at Adelaide and Qatar but this will be her first match on clay and I expect her to be caused plenty of problems LAY KUDERMETOVA @ 1.34

Monday, 3 April 2023

WTA Charlston Open 2023

WTA CHARLESTON

STEPHENS 1.28 V CHIRICO 4.30

Stephens leads the head to head 2-0 although they were 6 years ago, both players are very happy on clay and Chirico has come through her 2 matches here so far in straight sets, as always with Stephens her motivation for tournaments outside of grand slams has to be taken on trust and she is a crazy price here against a dangerous young opponent making her way back up the rankings LAY STEPHENS 1.30.

Tuesday, 21 March 2023

WTA Miami Open 2023

WTA MIAMI

Kalinskaya (1.41) V Kasaintseva (3.40)

Kalinskaya has a powerful game but can be prone to a lot of errors, her opponent while more at home on clay is still decent on hard courts and Kalinskaya is too short a price here considering her 7-8 record on hard courts this season and her opponent will be fullof confidence having won her last tournament albeit on clay LAY KALINSKAYA.

Fruhvirtova (2.30) V Wang (1.75)

Brenda is the younger sister of Linda and equally if not has greater potential, 8-2 hard court record this season including winning her last tournament only dropping three sets on the ITF circuit. She is at home on hard courts although her favourite surface is clay. Wang is having a poor season and looks low on confidence with her 2-6 record on hard courts backing this up and may have her work cut out against an in form, confident hugely talented youngster with nothing to lose in this match up. LAY WANG.

Eala(4.60) V Begu (1.26)

Eala is the junior US Open winner and a player of huge potential although at a lower level than the main tour currently, 55-27 win loss record on hard courts which is her favoured surface and although this is a jump up in class against Begu she should be able to give a good account of herself as she is playing with confidence. Begu has not been in great from recently after reaching the SF at Adelaide she has lost in the first round in her last 3 tournaments all in straight sets. LAY BEGU.

Putintseva (1.55) V Marino (2.76)
