WTA MADRID OPEN 2023 (2nd April)

WTA MADRID

SHERIF 11.0 V SABALENKA 1.09

Sherif has won a total of 14 titles during her career with 11 of them coming on clay albeit most on the ITF circuit, Sabelnka meanwhile has 18 titles with jut one on clay this tournament backin 2021. Sherif has a 7-2 win loss record on clay this season and a career record of 151-50 with the last 2 seasons showing an impressive 33-8 record and has been impressive here with wins over Mertens, Garcia and Kalinia along with Girogi retiring at 1-1. Sabelnka has a 6-1 win loss record on clay this season and lost in Stuttgart in the final but her career record of 60-41 is less impressive along with a 15-6 record over the last 2 seasons. The slower surface negates some of her power and the longer rallies can show up her consistency weakness. Although she is likely to come through her price at sub 1.10 to start is nothing short of crazy LAY SABALENKA and look to green up in play.

SAKKARI 1.80 V BEGU 2.20

Two of their three meetings have gone 3 sets and I expect similar today with Begu showing a decent level of form recently and if she can continue to play to that levl then she can push a slightly erractic Sakkari here although it is tough to call a winner the overs looks the best play OVER 22.5 GAMES EVENS
