Kovinic has been in dubious form for a little while and I am happy to oppose against a very capable opponent on this surface.
Khromacheva to beat Niculescu @ 3.0
Niculescu has the awkward forehand slice but she struggles to hit winners if her opponent keeps the ball away from her backhand and Khromacheva is a clever opponent would cause her a lot of problems providing her serve fires tonight.
Hibino to beat Vikhlyantseva @ 2.0
Hibino overpriced here against a player who has struggled on hard courts in her short career and while she does have the weapons to be an excellent player, until she starts showing some consistency on this surface she should be opposed abasing a very capable opponent.
WTA AUCKLAND
Santamaria to beat Siegmund @ 5.0
Siegmund struggles on hard courts and although her opponent in not a household name, unless on clay then Siegmund should never be this short a price.
Zaja to beat Liu @ 2.50
Sebov to beat Bonaventure @ 3.25
Sebov’s aggressive return game could prove the difference here as she will put Bonaventure’s serve under so much pressure.
Ivanov to beat Hourigan @ 3.0
