AUSTRALIAN OPEN: PLISKOVA TO BEAT OSAKA @ 2.20
AUSTRALIAN OPEN
PLISKOVA TO BEAT OSAKA @ 2.20
Pliskova leads the head to head 2-1 although in their first meeting Osaka retired in the third set, both players have played well in their last matches with Pliskova coming back from 5-1 down in the third set and saving match points against a slightly injured Serena Williams but should take so much confidence from that win and her confidence can’t be any higher as she is unbeaten this season after winning Brisbane. Osaka was impressive in beating Svitolina dropping just 5 games and it should be a fantastic trading match this one as I can see it going to three sets and in such a close contest I am happy to side with the 2.20 on Pliskova here.

JAKSIC TO BEAT TEICHMANN @ 3.10
Neither of these players are in great form but at least Jaksic has managed to win a match this season! Jaksic is the better hard court player with a 24-20 record over the last 12 months compared to Teichmann who tends to avoid hard courts and concentrates on the clay as her record of 8-8 shows and I expect Jaksic to make her better return game pay here and put Teichmann’s vulnerable serve under pressure.
