WTA SEOUL

ROYG TO BEAT AHN @ 10-11
RUS TO BEAT HON @ 8-11

Both odds on so I am doubling them up, Royg leads the head to head 1-0 has a good serve and should have too much firepower for Awn here, likewise Rus has a great lefty serve which can be very difficult to get a handle on with her height proving a great asset on her serve and she is in good form and Hon might struggle with the step up in class of opponent here.

GIBBS TO BEAT CIRSTEA @ 6-4 (NAP)

Cirstea is as unpredictable as they come, she can beat most players on her day but also lose to literally anyone. Gibbs is very consistent and a no frills player who will keep the unforced errors low and wait for the errors from Cirstea.

WTA TOKYO

NARA TO BEAT GARCIA @ 2-1

Nara leads the head to head 2-1 winning both in straight sets on hard courts, the match Garcia won was on grass which is Nara’s most uncomfortable surface. Garcia relies heavily on her serve and Nara;s good return game will put pressure on it here and I think it is deciding factor.

STRYCOVA TO BEAT KONTA @ 2-1

Konta has struggled since Wimbledon winning only 2 matches out of 6 and suffered a very poor loss in the first round of the US Open. Strycova knows her game well and her variation should cause Konta problems. Strycova was impressive in her first match here beating Rybriakova in straight sets.

WTA GUANGZHOU

WICKMAYER TO BEAT CORNET @ 21-20

This looks a coin toss of a match and Wickmayer is the value play here in my opinion as neither player is reliable and both are very vulnerable on serve but Wickmayer is a little likely to have a complete meltdown. Cornet leads the head to head 3-1 including winning both on hard courts but her recent form does not convince me as she has been taken to three sets in both her matches here against lesser players.
