GOLUBIC
WTA INDIAN WELLS

GOLUBIC TO BEAT TOMLJANOVIC @ EVENS

Tomljanovic leads the head to head 1-0, both players have played well so far here although Tomljanovic got good bit of fortune when Lepchenko retired from their match at 1 set all. Golubic has been in excellent form before here reaching the final at Burnie on the ITF circuit. Tomljanovic has also been in decent form on ITF reaching the SF at Newport Beach. Golubic is the more versatile player, Tomljanovic relies heavily on her serve and Golubic has a strong return of serve and I feel that will be the key difference here.

VOEGELE TO BEAT PETERSON @ 6-4

Voegel has more variation and her greater net play is such an asset and here the fact she breaks serve over 7% more often than her opponent means I can see her winning this in straight sets

GAVRILOVA TO BEAT TSURENKO @ 11-8

Tsurenko leads the head to head 4-0 so the fact I have backed Gavrilova might mean I have lost my marbles! Over the last 12 months their respective records on hard courts make for surprising reading Gavrilova 22-11 Tsurenko 15-16, she is so athletic that she will be getting balls back from Tsurenko that would normally be winners and I think she will force Tsurenko into a lot of unforced errors and come through in three sets.
