Oz Open - Thursday's Bets

WTA Tennis
VONDROUSOVA TO BEAT GARCIA @ 5-2

Vondrousova is a highly talented young player who caused a bit of a stir last year, she has a good serve and being a lefty it can cause more problems, she has aggressive groundstrokes and good variety playing so well on clay. She made the step up to the main tour and played very well. Garcia is solid but does rely heavily on serve and her opponent has a good return so this will negate some of Garcia’s main weapon. Vondrousova looks a good value outsider here to cause an upset.

BARONI TO BEAT SASNOVICH @ 6-5

Baroni leads the head to head 2-0, Baroni plays all out attack and as always can win or lose to anyone but her all out attack causes Sasnovich problems as she has no answer for it and as per usual it will be down to the unforced errors from Baroni, keep them low and she wins simple.

BODGAN TO BEAT PUTINTSEVA @ 11-10

Bogdan has the better serve, Putintseva is very combative but lacks the power and weapons to trouble players and relies on them making errors, Bogdan high on confidence and playing well is likely to prove too strong here.

DAVIS TO BEAT PETKOVIC @ 11-8

Davis leads the head to head 2-0. Both had excellent first round wins especially Petkovic knocking out Kvitova, the danger is the come down from such an emotional victory and Davis has the consistency to cause Petkovic issues and has been shown by their previous meetings. Davis does not put a lot of pace on the ball and it means Petkovic has to generate her own pack which can lead to a lot of unforced errors from the German.
