US Open 2016

Jelena Jankovic to beat Carla Suarez Navarro @ 9-4 (CORALS, BETFRED) 1 Pt Win

Jankovic leads the head to head 5-3, and on outdoor hard courts she leads 2-1. Navarro never convinces me on hard courts and although Jankovic is not the player she once was her defensive skills are still some of the best on the circuit and I think that could be the difference today.

JANKOVIC          68.3%           43%

NAVARRO           65%             40.5%

Qiang Wang to beat Yaroslavla Shvedova @ 11-8 (CORALS, BETVICTOR, BETFRED)

Wang has a great win-loss record over the last 12 months on hard court of 48-22 compared to Shvedova 22-16. Wang has been unstoppable ion the ITF circuit winning three tournaments and a finalist in another and she continued that form by knocking out Kasatkina in her first round match here.

Nicole Gibbs to beat Laura Siegmund @ EVENS (BET 365, BETFRED, BETVICTOR, LADBROKES,

Halep leads the head to head 3-1 and on hard courts it is 2-1 with 2 of the three matches going to three sets, the most Safarova has lost by in terms of games in the match is 4 twice with the other defeat being just 1 game difference.

  1. Very nice article and very helpful. Timea Babos will meet Simona Halep in today's game played in Us Open tournament. In their last H2H meeting played at Guangzhou Open, Halep won the match with 2:0. I wonder if Babos prepared us with a surprise today. Based on the past results of the two players, I would expect Halep to perform well during this game and go for a victory. It should be interesting to see if Halep will win by 2 sets difference as his/her last head to head meeting.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Alex H. Much appreciated.

  3. dash to the ball with short steps, and hit it, or just let it fall in. No hit ball is ever worth crashing on green-colored asphalt EJE
