Kuznetsova leads the head to head 6-1 with Makarova's only victory coming on grass.

KUZNETSOVA       72%                                34.4%

RYBRIAKOVA TO BEAT PLISKOVA @ 11-4

Rybriakova is a specialist playing on grass and although Pliskova is currently one of the favourites for the title and rightly so I do feel the Slovak can use her grass court skills to cause Pliskova some problems and should certainly not be close to 3-1 as her confidence is high after winning both grass court tournaments pre-Wimbledon on the ITF circuit at Surbiton and Ilkley and also reaching the SF at Nottingham.

PLISKOVA           79.1%                               29.7%

RISKE TO BEAT MLADENOVIC @ 12-5

Mladenovic leads the head to head 4-0 including winnig in two tight sets on grass but on grass is the one surface where Riske is more potent on both serve and returning her opponents serve, I think today she will cause the Frenchwoman problems with her return game and put Mladenovic's s serve under alot of pressure which does tend to affect the other parts of her game.

                           HOLD SERVE                  BREAK SERVE

RISKE                76.4%                               32.3%

MATTEK SANDS TO BEAT CIRSTEA @ 5-4

Cirstea leads head to head 3-0 although they have never met on grass. Cirstea has a 25-25 win loss record on grass Mattek Sands is 25-21. Mattek Sands is an exceptional player at the net as shown by her brilliant performances in doubles and that could be key today

MATTEK           69.8%                                31.8%
CIRSTEA          69.7%                                29.7%

PIRONKOVA TO BEAT WOZNIACKI @ 21-10

Both happy on grass, Pironkova especially comes alive here and is always a real threat to everyone she plays, Reached the QF at Nottingham and the last 16 at Eastbourne before losing narrowly in three to Simona halap. Wozniacki played great at Eastbourne reaching the final before losing to Pliskova but I just feel Pironkova becomes inspired here and fancy her to overcome the consistent Wozniacki.

PIRONKOVA    73.4%                                34.5%
WOZNIACKI    77.1%                                 38%

HERCOG TO BEAT LEPCHENKO @ 7-5

Lepchenko leads head to head 3-2 including winning last year on grass in straight sets. Hercog has been playing very well and her serve is a real attribute especially against such a poor returner as Lepchenko

                        HOLD SERVE                    BREAK SERVE

HERCOG        69.9%                                 27.6%
LEPCHENKO 68.1%                                  23%
