WTA BRISBANE

Garbine Muguruza, WTA Brisbane, WTA
Garbine Muguruza to bt Svetlana Kuznetsova @ 4-5 Bet 365

Muguruza leads the head to head 2-1. Both have looked in decent form so far in this tournament although Kuznetsova has beaten far lesser players. Muguruza has the power to be able to blow any player off the court and with her injury problems hopefully behind her then I expect a stellar season from her this year.

WTA AUCKLAND

Jelena Ostapenko to bt Madison Brengle @ 5-6 Bet365

Ostapenko is a dynamic player with good movement and hit the ball ferociously hard, Brengle is more solid and tends to wait for her opponent's mistake and was solid against Serena. Backing up that shock win might prove a problem for her as I feel a sharp Ostapenko will have too much power for Brengle.

Ana Konjuh to bt Naomi Osaka @ 11-10 Bet 365

Both exceptional talents and both have good serves. I am giving the slight edge to Konjuh as she has played two matches so far and was excellent in her last win dropping three games. Osaka had a walkover against Venus Williams and this early in the season is not helpful and may still be a little rusty. I have it priced up as evens both so the 11-10 is slight value.

WTA SHENZEN

Kristyna Pliskova to bt Joanna Konta @ 3-1 Bet365
Pliskova V Konta tie-break in match @ 5-2 Corals

Pliskova leads the head to head 2-0. Both players have excellent serves and I am expecting Pliskova to join her sister in the top 20 but the end of the season. In their two meeting, both matches featured a tie-break and I can the same happening here.
